Richard Pendergrass-Nowak Obituary Update: 34-year-old Richard Pendergrass-Nowak from Troutman passed away due to a motorcycle crash at 100

TROUTMAN, N.C. — A sorrowful incident involving a motorcycle is under investigation by the Troutman Police Department, which resulted in the death of a local resident on Sunday afternoon.



On November 9th, around 12:49 p.m., law enforcement received notifications regarding a motorcycle crash in the 100 block of Duck Creek Road. Upon arrival of the emergency team, they found a motorcycle along with its operator off the road. The individual, recognized as 34-year-old Richard Pendergrass-Nowak from Troutman, was declared dead at the site due to injuries incurred during the accident.

Initial results from the inquiry suggest that the motorcycle departed the roadway and traveled over 300 feet before crashing into a tree. The collision was severe, leading to fatal injuries for Mr. Pendergrass-Nowak. Investigators have ascertained that driving at excessive speeds was a factor contributing to the accident.

The Troutman Police Department is still probing into the events that led to the incident. It is believed that no additional vehicles were involved in the collision.
