With profound sadness, the Duncannon community is grieving the loss of 49-year-old Kenneth E. Heffley Jr., who sadly died in a car accident on Tuesday afternoon in Wheatfield Township, Perry County.
As reported by the Pennsylvania State Police, the incident took place just prior to 4 p.m. on Sulphur Springs Road. Authorities indicate that Kenneth was driving his 2016 Kia Forte heading north when the car unexpectedly entered the opposite lane and drifted off the road, crashing into a tree. Emergency responders arrived promptly and transported him to Holy Spirit Hospital, where he was declared deceased later that night around 11:45 p.m.
The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing, but officials have confirmed that no other cars were involved.
Kenneth’s death has left his family, friends, and neighbors heartbroken. Renowned for his generosity, warmth, and dedication, Kenneth was a person who positively influenced everyone he encountered.
